Nokia Lumia 2520 is a Windows RT tablet

Nokia’s Windows RT tablet, the Lumia 2520, became official today at Nokia World in Abu Dabi. The 10.1 inch full HD tablet is designed in the same mould as the rest of the Lumia range with bright coloured polycarbonate plastic used as the shell. The Lumia 2520 is powered by the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor that does duty in the Lumia 1520 phablet along with 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage which can be doubled with the use of a microSD card.

It runs Microsoft’s recently updated Windows RT 8.1 which comes pre-loaded with the Microsoft Office productivity suite. Nokia is promising 10 hours of video playback on a single charge of the Lumia 2520 and the ability to charge from zero to 80% battery life in just an hour. There is also a keyboard case accessory creatively called the ‘Nokia Power Keyboard’ that adds a keyboard, an extra five hours of battery life and opens up two full size USB ports for the Lumia 2520.

The LTE equipped Lumia 2520 is scheduled to go on sale in parts of Europe and the US shortly while we wait for news on local availability.
