Make it a Black Weekend with these killer gaming specials

Black Friday is upon us, and with that comes great specials on a huge range of goods… in America.

Here in South Africa, our local retailers are climbing onto the Black Friday bandwagon and slashing prices on goods too. That means there are a lot of good deals out there today and into the weekend for you to sink your teeth in to.

Because we’re helpful sorts, we’ve rounded up a few good gaming deals for your perusing pleasure: is having a Black Friday special on a bunch of games, including R299 for two Xbox 360/PS3 games, R99 for three PC games. You can grab Dragon Age: Inquisition on PC for R499, PS3 for R589 and PS4 for R679.

BTGames is having its own Black Friday specials, but it’s an in-store promotion that requires a visit to an actual store to take advantage of the prices on offer that are valid today and tomorrow only. You can pick up Watch_Dogs for R399 (XB1, PS4), R299 (XB360, PS3) and R199 (PC) as well as Starcraft II for R149.90 and a bunch of PC games for less than R60 that include Batman: Arkham Origins, Dead Island and Darksiders II.

It’s even possible to get specials on the Xbox Marketplace. Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor for the Xbox One can be had for just R349.50 if you’re an Xbox Live Gold member, and that’s a lot of game for less than R350. If you see R699 as the list price and you are a Gold member, simply log into the site with your Xbox credentials and you should see the correct price.

Takealot has some nice gaming-related sales as well. You can get the Logitech G19S gaming keyboard for a thousand bucks off, for R1 599, a wireless Xbox One controller for R559 (R240 off) and R600 off an NVIDIA GeForce GTX660 OC graphics card, which sells for R2 299.

And lastly, Steam is having an “Explorer Sale” that lists over 5 600 PC games at discounts ranging from 10% off to 90% off.
