Starfield may show up in the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase

The header image is an official piece of art released by Microsoft to announce the Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase happening next month. Does it remind you of anything? Maybe Starfield?

As a reminder the only real look we’ve gotten at Starfield was this official announcement teaser (see the video below) which shows the silhouette of a planet.

That planet looks quite a bit like the one in the graphic above, leading us to believe that we will finally learn more about the space faring game from Bethesda.

But let’s back up a bit. The Xbox & Bethesda Games Showcase is a livestream event happening on 13th June. You’ll be able to watch it on YouTube, Twitch, Facebook and Twitter on the day.

As you may have guessed by the name the focus of the event will be on games both from Xbox Game Studios and Bethesda, the latter of which Microsoft purchased.

“You’ve told us how excited you are about welcoming Bethesda into the Xbox family, so we know you’re going to want a front-row seat to the Xbox & Bethesda Games showcase – a 90-minute show packed with everything you want to know about the epic gaming lineup coming out of this partnership, the incredible games coming to Xbox this holiday, upcoming releases on Xbox Game Pass, and more,” reads the official announcement.

Aside from the two headlining acts the show will also feature from other game creators and Xbox partners.

While we’re excited to possibly see more of Starfield this will be the first big event for Bethesda since being acquired. The other big game in the rafters is, of course, Elder Scrolls VI.

It seems Microsoft is really playing catch-up in the console realm with the PlayStation 5 offering up more exclusives right now compared to the Series X|S. A one-two punch of Starfield and Elder Scrolls VI would do a lot to move Xbox consoles, even if both titles are far from release.
