DCC confirms local availability of SonicWall Gen 7 solutions

Over the past two years, the increasing frequency of data breaches shows that cybersecurity should be top of mind for enterprises. For those operating in the channel, local technology firm and official SonicWall distributor, DCC, has a significant announcement.

This as the company is officially making the SonicWall’s high-performance firewall offering, the Generation 7 Network Security platform services (NSsp) and Network Security Appliance (NSa) series available in the SADC region.

The cybersecurity firm says this latest lineup is one of its best offerings to date, which the includes the new NSa 5700, NSsp 10700 and NSsp 11700 firewalls.

DCC adds that the products’ availability come at a time when the SonicWall Capture Labs recorded a 148 percent increase in global ransomware attacks through the third quarter of 2021.

With 495 million ransomware attacks logged by the SonicWall in 2021, it was easily one of the most costly and dangerous years on record.

“The new Gen 7 NSsp and NSa products represent SonicWall’s continued commitment to providing simplified, flexible and cost-effective solutions that protect organisations’ valuable data irrespective of the environment,” enthused Fred Mitchell (pictured above), software solutions division manager at DCC, in a press release sent to Hypertext.

“SonicWall’s entire line of NSa and NSsp firewalls can be quickly managed by the cloud-native Network Security Manager (NSM), which gives distributed enterprises a single, easy-to-use cloud interface for streamlined management, analytics, and reporting,” the release adds.

With standard cybersecurity solutions simply not cutting it these days given the intensity with each criminals are targeting remote and hybrid workers, having a product in place that can be predictive instead of reactive has become essential.
