G.I. Joe arrives in Brawlhalla as the latest crossover

It’s been a good few minutes since another videogame crossover was released so here’s another one, not from the usual suspect Fortnite, but Brawlhalla and G.I. Joe.

The familiar ninjas Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow have arrived in Brawlhalla as playable characters.

“Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow are new Epic Crossovers that feature custom Signature effects, custom lock-in animations, dedicated Roster spots, and two new Weapon Skins each. In Brawlhalla, Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow mirror the abilities of Thatch and Koji, respectively, and will stay in Mallhalla after the event ends,” an announcement reads.

Along with the two characters various new avatars have been added based on them as well as ones based on Timber, Cobra, Cobra Commander and G.I. Joe.

Players can also jump into the game to enjoy some extra content such as a daily login bonus of 250 gold, changes to the UI to reflect the crossover and “Arashikage Showdown”, a new map.

This new content is released alongside patch 6.04 with notes available here. This comes with a host of bug fixes, improvements and changes to the free-to-play Legend rotation. Those who prefer their patch notes in video form can head here which shows them off as well as more of Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow.

It’s interesting to see that G.I. Joe is still continuing to try and stay in the public eye after the Snake Eyes movie came out recently and no one really noticed or cared. If this is your first time realising that a new movie came out based on this franchise, well you’re not alone. It will be interesting to see if any sequels see the light of day after such a bad start to things.

Back to Brawlhalla and there’s a trailer for this crossover which is viewable in the embed below. It leans into the morning cartoon trope complete with the famous “knowing is half the battle”.
