Prizes offered up for the Cyberpunk 2077 Photo Mode Challenge

If you needed a reason to return to Night City, CD Projekt Red may have just provided it in the form of the Photo Mode Challenge.

As you may have guessed by the name of the contest, this challenges players to use Photo Mode and capture images of Cyberpunk 2077 in order to win prizes.

More than that this actually takes the form of three different challenges, each with its own theme.

The first theme is taking submissions between now and 6th April with the theme of “Apartments”.

“Even a hardened mercenary like V needs a place to relax and polish their guns, or peacefully talk life, death, and destroying Arasaka with the digital ghost of a long-dead rockerboy. Show us how your V likes to spend their time in what might very well be the coziest place in all of Night City. Home sweet home, right?” the contest page reads.

It’s likely that this theme was chosen as more apartments were added to the game in the big 1.5 Patch that also marked the release of the “next generation” version of the game for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

For those not particularly inspired by taking pictures of apartments, there will be two more challenges following this one. Between 13th and 20th April a new subject matter will be announced, and then another open between 27th April and 5th May. The themes for challenge two and three have not been revealed just yet, however.

What has been revealed are the prizes. Each challenge will have three winners, so a total of nine people will walk away with something. The revealed prizes are:

  • Alienware mouse, keyboard and headset in dark side of the moon color
  • Cyberpunk 2077 Artbook
  • Cyberpunk 2077 goodie bag

Those who would like to participate should head to this official contest site and scroll down to the bottom where they can fill in a form and upload their entry.

We highly recommend that everyone reads this page in its entirety before submitting an entry, just so they’re clear of the rules, such as the fact that mods can’t be used, no editing software is allowed and only one screenshot is permitted per challenge.

The official Cyberpunk 2077 Photo Mode Challenge rules can also be read here as a PDF.
