Red Dead 2, LEGO Star Wars sneak onto Steam top seller list

For the past month or so the Steam top seller list has looked rather similar with Elden Ring, the Steam Deck and whatever new game comes out dominating the list. While that hasn’t changed this last week, we do see two titles bringing up the rear which we didn’t expect.

These are Red Dead Redemption 2 in ninth place and LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga just scraping into tenth.

Both of these, however, are relatively easy to pin down when it comes to why they’re here. Red Dead Redemption 2 has a 50 percent off sale that is still going and will end on 7th April, whereas LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is simply gaining momentum ahead of its 5th April release.

Similarly the most popular cowboy game ever made, It Takes Two is also here due to a sale as it’s 60 percent for ten more hours at the time of publication.

Ghostwire: Tokyo claims two spots here with fourth and eighth. As mentioned at the top brand new releases are no surprise on this list as the launch of a game is usually when the most sales are made. It will be interesting to see if it can continue this success into next week and keep a spot after some of the hype dies down.

The two smallest games here are right next to each other in the form of Core Keeper and Dread Hunger in sixth and seventh respectively. Despite their indie status compared to the much larger titles here both have appeared on these lists several times before.

The full list of Steam top sellers can be found below, as always compiled by the unofficial store trackers Steam Database (SteamDB). It compiles this list every week using the metric of revenue generated during that week.
