Unsurprisingly Elden Ring is still the top selling game on Steam but it’s a smaller indie title coming in second place with the Risk of Rain 2 expansion, Survivors of the Void, in second place.
This comes to us, as always, from unofficial tracker Steam Database (SteamDB) which provides us a list of the top 10 sellers on Steam by revenue generated in the last week.
“The Gateway to The Void has opened! The corrupting power it contained has engulfed Petrichor V and plunged the planet into darkness. For millennia, The Void Creatures have grown dominant by taking artifacts from our realm to theirs. Now they look to add you to their collection,” reads the description for Survivors of the Void.
This measurement of revenue generated makes Survivors of the Void in second place even more impressive considering it’s so much cheaper with the localised pricing of the expansion costing just R105 usually (but currently discounted to R68.25) while Elden Ring costs several times more at R849 for the regular version and R1 149 for the Deluxe Edition.
Elden Ring also appears in third place because of the way Steam works where it lists different versions of games as separate entities.
The main Risk of Rain 2 game, which is required to play Survivors of the Void, makes an appearance in seventh place. It’s worth noting that it’s currently 50 percent off which likely helped those numbers. It also helps that Risk of Rain is a co-op roguelike and only one player in a party is required to own Survivors of the Void for everyone to get access to it.
The rest of the list – which you can view below – isn’t too surprising with titles appearing here many times before. The one exception is likely The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, an older title which was discounted by 80 percent over the weekend.
