Two Point Campus bumped by a quarter, now releasing in August

Two Point Campus, the management game from the same developer that made Two Point Hospital, has received a three month delay that will move its 17th May 2022 release date to 9th August 2022.

The reason for this change is due to the fact that the game is planned to launch on just about every relevant platform. Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S are all included, and it will be a day one launch for Game Pass.

“As you know, one of our biggest goals with Two Point Campus is to launch on PC and console platforms from day one, and we want to make sure that every single one of you gets the best quality game no matter what you’re playing on. So in order for everyone to have the incredible experience we all want you to have, we need a little more time to continue our optimisation efforts for all platforms,” an announcement reads.

“Now don’t get us wrong… we’re nearly there! So the extra three months we have is going to really help us get Two Point Campus to the quality you’ve all come to expect from us as a studio.”

Many publishers and developers are at a weird point in time right now where the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S are the current generation of consoles, but their previous incarnations have such large playerbases that ignoring them could mean a lot of lost sales.

It doesn’t help things that the Nintendo Switch is so popular but also so underpowered, Microsoft has two versions of the Series and the PC market is still splintered by component problems.

With this in mind it’s easy to see why making a game to launch on all this different hardware can be a massive challenge.

To give people some Two Point Campus content to tide them over, developer Two Point Studios has released the below video which shows off the lofty goals of the game from the people making it.
