Nedbank has announced the launch of its new Bill Payments feature, currently in the pilot phase before rolling out all users on the Money app and online banking portal later this month.
As the name would suggest, this feature is designed for Nedbank customers to pay their bills and have greater control over the process. In order to incentivise its use, the financial institution is also rolling out rewards for every time a customer pays their bill via the app or online banking.
“The extensive bill payments and bill management feature, available on the Nedbank Money app and Online Banking includes more than 500 listed beneficiaries,” it explained in a press release sent to Hypertext.
“With this, you will be in full control of your regular or monthly bills, able to keep track of payments, set payment rules for each beneficiary and, best of all, earn valuable rewards whenever you make a payment to a service provider listed, provided that the card selected for the bill payment is eligible for rewards on spend,” it adds.
In terms of the rewards, Nedbank has listed Greenbacks, SAA Voyager Miles and American Express Membership Rewards as examples, with more options said to be on the way. The financial institution adds that payment of bills from clothing store accounts, insurance, bond and car repayments and other service providers can now be handled via the Money app or online banking.
One Bill Payments rolls out later this month, you can access it via the following steps:
- Log onto the Nedbank Money App or Online Banking
- Select Transact
- Select Pay
- Select Bill Payments
- Select a service provider
- Follow the prompts to pay your bill or set up payment rules for the beneficiary.
