The latest big roguelike on the block – Rogue Legacy 2 – has managed to fight its way into the top of spot the list of best selling games on Steam.
This list comes from Steam Database (SteamDB) which provides a weekly recap of the best performing games on Valve’s storefront, ordered by revenue generated in the last week.
The Steam Deck and Elden Ring claim first and second respectively which is no surprise. The two have been trading blows for the top spots for weeks now.
The endless enthusiasm for FromSoftware games and the tiered release of the Steam Deck means that both have enjoyed this continued success for months.
On the part of Rogue Legacy 2 in third place, the game recently launched out of Early Access. 1.0 releases are usually when a game gets the most attention on Steam and that was combined with a 20 percent off launch discount (still available for a few more hours at the time of publication).

Looking at the rest of the list and we can see some returning names like the Valve Index as well as some others which don’t always appear.
Monster Hunter Rise (50 percent off), The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe (33 percent off), Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice – GOTY Edition (50 percent off) and Dying Light 2 Stay Human (20 percent off) all have ongoing sales which likely helped them in the standings.
Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate – Daemonhunters is not on sale right now, but did have its launch on 5th May, which is likely why it is.
Finally there’s Dune: Spice Wars which released into Early Access on 26th April.
