V Rising spends a second week as the Steam top seller

Last week the Steam top seller list was shaken up as it wasn’t the regulars in the number one spot like Elden Ring or the Steam deck, but a new indie title in Early Access called V Rising.

The crafting and survival game with a vampire lick of paint has taken off out of nowhere and has now claimed its second week as the number one top selling game on Valve’s store.

This is according to the Steam Database (SteamDB) an unofficial tracker of the store that provides weekly recaps of the top performers based on revenue generated that week.

V Rising has not only claimed the number one spot, but one of its more expensive Founder’s Packs has also nabbed sixth place too.

Because of the way Steam works multiple purchasing options for a single game appear separately so we can see the same software appearing on the list in different slots.

  1. V Rising
  2. Steam Deck
  3. ELDEN RING
  4. FIFA 22
  5. My Time at Sandrock
  6. V Rising – Founder’s Pack: Eldest Bloodline
  7. Valve Index VR Kit Package
  8. Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Mega Mix+ – VIP Edition Package
  9. No Man’s Sky
  10. Sniper Elite 5.

The aforementioned Steam Deck and Elden Ring follow V Rising in second and third place respectively, which is no surprise. The Valve Index also appears in the list quite often so it’s also an expected variable.

Other places in the list are due to sales with FIFA 22 (84 percent off) and No Man’s Sky (50 percent off) appearing here thanks to decent markdowns.

The rest of the top selling list is new games. It’s no secret that the launch window of a game is when it usually sells the most copies and that seems to be true for My Time at Sandrock, Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Mega Mix+ and Sniper Elite 5 which all released in the last week.

Sniper Elite 5 is interesting to see here as it’s available for no additional purchase to subscribers of Game Pass.
