Steam Trading Cards coming to PowerWash Simulator

PowerWash Simulator has been a surprise hit this month as many people flocked to its simple but relaxing promise of going wild with pressurised water.

The game’s developer, FuturLab, has provided a post-launch update for its community with an eye on where the game goes next, which includes Trading Cards.

“Steam Trading Cards are also coming. We wanted to have them in at launch but will let everyone know when they are live. We are also collaborating with Oxford University on a study of video games and players’ mental health. We have had a developer dedicated to this and are excited to reveal more very soon! Keep your eyes out on Steam,” writes FuturLab.

While no further information is provided about the Trading Cards we can read a bit more about the mental health issue here when FuturLab collaborated with the British wellbeing campaign Every Mind Matters for World Mental Health Day in 2021. It’s nice to see that the success of PowerWash Simulator is, at least in part, helping with this issue.

FuturLab also discussed some of this success revealing that more than 10 000 players were in the game on launch day.

PowerWash Simulator is available now on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and PC through Steam, the Windows Store and Game Pass.

We tried the game out through Game Pass and can give it a recommendation, especially for anyone who already has an active subscription and can play without the need to part with any money. It’s a fun enough experience even if you just invest an hour or two and it’s the perfect game to play while listening to a podcast.
