What loadshedding will look like for the next seven days

Last week saw Eskom implement a mix of different stages of loadshedding from 16:00 until late in the evening. This week looks to be similar as the power utility has shared its projected schedule for the seven days.

The schedule was shared via its Twitter account, where Eskom also noted that, “The stage of loadshedding for the rest of the period is dependent on returning generating units to service and will be confirmed closer to the time.”

As such, it remains a waiting game to see whether the forecasted schedule will indeed be in place as intended.

Regardless, South Africans will likely need to plan for stage 2 loadshedding from 16:00 until midnight from today 18th July until Friday 22nd July, where it is anticipated to shift to stage 1 over weekend and next week Monday the 25th.

For those who cannot see the embedded tweet above, the next seven-day loadshedding for South Africa is as follows:

Date Time Stage
18th July 16:00 to 00:00 Stage 2
19th July 16:00 to 00:00 Stage 2
20th July 16:00 to 00:00 Stage 2
21st July 16:00 to 00:00 Stage 2
22nd July 16:00 to 00:00 Stage 1
23rd July 16:00 to 00:00 Stage 1
24th July 16:00 to 00:00 Stage 1
25th July 16:00 to 00:00 Stage 1

As always, we advise downloading the EskomSePush mobile app on iOS, Android or HMS devices in order to stay up to date on what is happening in the country and your suburb when it comes to power.
