Mandalorian season three landing on Disney+ on 1st March

  • As Disney+ has mined Star Wars for more original content, its best live-action series to date remains The Mandalorian.
  • Previously announcing that season three would be arriving sometime in 2023, we now have a launch date for it to arrive on Disney’s streaming platform.
  • With that, season three of The Mandalorian lands on Disney+ come 1st March 2023.

While we are on the fence about some of the original series that Disney+ has brought to the fore of late, The Mandalorian still remains one of the most popular shows on the platform.

It is why when a teaser trailer for the third season surfaced earlier this year, fans of the series anxiously waited to find out when it would be releasing in 2023. That wait is now over, with the official Mandalorian Twitter account confirming that the titular character and Grogu would be heading to Disney+ on 1st March.

This news comes as some of the cast, namely Pedro Pascal who plays Mando, was in Brazil for its Comic Con this week.

As for what season three will serve up, the aforementioned teaser trailer embedded below offers a bit more insight, with Mando needing to deal with the fallout of revealing his face to others, which is forbidden in his Mandalorian religious sect.

Added to this will be the journey that Grogu will be going through, as he was taken by a CGI-rendered Luke Skywalker at the end of season two to complete his training in the force. We could also see more of what Bo-Katan is planning, along with some potential hints at what Disney is working on for its Ahsoka series with Rasario Dawson.

As Engadget points out, there has been quite a bit of time between season two and three, with two whole years between them. Hopefully then we get more compelling offerings between seasons of The Mandalorian than what we have received to date, with the likes of Book of Boba Fett failing to impress.

Either way, we will get more Mando early next year.
