13 new titles added to lineup for PlayStation VR2

  • The new PlayStation VR2 is set to launch on 22nd February 2023.
  • At launch the latest VR headset from PlayStation will feature more than 30 titles.
  • This will be launched between 22nd February and the end of March.

We are a little over one month away from the PlayStation VR2 officially launching across the globe, with those in South Africa capable of using the latest device from the company on the same day as their international counterparts come 22nd February.

In the lead-up to the PSVR2‘s release, PlayStation has announced that a further 13 titles will feature during the launch window of the headset, which stretches into March. This is on top of the initial 11 that PlayStation announced last year, which is headlined by the likes of Resident Evil Village VR and Horizon Call of the Mountain, with the latter being bundled with the headset locally for R14 499 (RRP).

Looking at the 13 additions outlined by PlayStation, quite a few stand out, such as Creed: Rise to Glory –  Championship Edition, Before Your Eyes, NFL Pro Era, and The Last Clockwinder. As such, there looks to be a good mix of genres, but much of the success of the PlayStation VR2 will come down to pricing for said games.

With VR titles like Arkham VR feeling more like a demo than an actual game, players will want to get their monies worth on an expensive PSVR2 title, especially when the new headset retails for a pricey R13 499 (RRP) already.

The full list of launch titles are as follows:
