  • The Microsoft Surface Pro 9 is now available in South Africa.
  • The 2-in-1 notebook can sport up to an Intel 12th Gen Core-i7 processor and up to 512GB of storage.
  • Vodacom is the exclusive retailer of the Surface Pro 9 5G Microsoft SQ 3.

South Africans looking for a notebook that functions more like a tablet will be pleased to learn that a range of Microsoft Surface Pro 9 notebooks are now available in South Africa.

There are four different Surface Pro 9 configurations being made available locally although one is exclusive to Vodacom. That is the Surface Pro 9 5G Microsoft SQ 3 which is an ARM based Windows PC. Reviews of this particular model aren’t very inspiring but it’s available in SA now for those that want to take the gamble.

The other three models coming to our shores are all powered by Intel’s 12th Generation of processors including i7 and i5 iterations.

The 2-in-1 notebook weighs in at just 879g but sports a 13inch PixelSense touchscreen. There are also two USB Type C ports to connect displays and peripherals to the notebook.

While prices start at R26 999, this configuration is a basic Intel Core i5, 256GB of storage and 8GB of memory. Spending R42 999 will get you an Intel Core i7, 512GB of storage and 16GB of memory.

A launch promotion is also available until 31st March. Buying a Surface Pro 9 between now and 31st March will get you a free Surface Slim Pen 2 valued at R2 699.

Retailers include Evetech, Hi Online, Incredible Connection, Takealot and Vodacom.
