Game adds Magneto portable power stations to its loadshedding solutions

  • Game has added a lineup of new Magneto portable power stations to its stores this month.
  • These solutions are designed for apartment owners in particular.
  • The retailer is also making its Price Beat Promise applicable on the new power stations.

In recent years a number of South African retailers have looked to make energy solutions available locally. The latest to do so is Game, which this month expanded its lineup by adding Magneto power stations to the mix.

These new offerings are specifically designed with apartment owners in mind, serving up more affordable options for those who cannot install pricier solar, inverters or UPSs.

The solutions, which will be in store this month, include:

  • Magneto Portable Power Station 150W/133WH, R2 999. Available in-store only,
  • Magneto Portable Power Station 200W/202WH, R 3999. Available in-store only,
  • Magneto Portable Power Station 300W/347WH, R5 999. Available in 91 Game stores,
  • Magneto Portable Power Station 600W/537WH, R9 999. Available in 26 Game stores.

“Many of our consumers are looking for quiet, economical, sustainable power solutions, as their body corporates do not allow for the use of traditional generators. As a responsible retailer, we continue to invest in quality, affordable solutions for our customers. The new, portable solutions we have introduced are perfect for powering the essentials in any home in an environmentally friendly way – and are the latest addition to our growing load shedding solutions available at Game,” says Andre Steyn, VP of Game, in a press release sent to Hypertext.

Along with the new solutions, the retailer is applying its Price Beat Promise to these Magneto portable power stations. “The Price Beat Promise guarantees Game shoppers the absolute lowest price on any and every item that Game stocks, in-store and online – both before and for 21 days after purchase,” it adds.

Other options for payment include PayJustNow, the myStore Card (approved by RCS), and Makro/Builders cards.

While these new options are welcome, we hope that they are a little less prone to issues compared to some of Magneto’s lights.
