- It also boasts a massive 5 000mAh battery, which TECNO is one of the largest in this price bracket locally.
In recent weeks TECNO has been launching new smartphones in South Africa, with the Spark 10 Pro leading the pack for the Chinese company. While that device is aimed at the mid-range space, TECNO has a new entry-level addition with the SPARK GO 2023.
As with previous iterations in the Spark series, the GO 2023 is designed to deliver value for money. Speaking of which, the recommended retail price for the SPARK GO 2023 is R2 499.
Cost savvy consumers can also find it for less at local retailers, according to TECNO, although it is unclear how ling the promotional discounts will last for.
“Special deals of only R1,999 for SPARK GO 2023 can be found at select retailers, including TFG, Jet, Edgars, Mr Price, Game, PEP, and Ackermans in June but note that availability varies per retailer and while stocks last. SPARK GO 2023 can also be found at other select TECNO retail partners,” it explained in a press release sent to Hypertext.
In terms of what is on offer from this new device, TECNO has highlighted the massive 5 000mAh battery, which it says is one of the larger options available in SA for this price bracket. As such, it should yield a full day and then some from a fully charged battery.
Other elements worth noting include a 6.6″ HD+ display (1612×720), 3GB RAM, 64GB onboard storage, 13MP dual camera on the rear, 5MP front-facing selfie camera, USB Type-C charging port and support for up to 4G connectivity.
The SPARK GO 2023 will be sold locally in the following colour options – Endless Black, Uyuni Blue, and Nebula Purple (seen below).
