Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 lands on Disney+ next month

  • Continuing its trend of making blockbuster releases available to stream on Disney+, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 arrives on the platform on 2nd August.
  • It joins the first two volumes, as well as a Christmas Special on Disney+.
  • A hit with critics and fans alike, Vol. 3 amassed over $800 million at cinemas.

If you have been waiting for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 to arrive on the Disney+ streaming platform, you will not have to wait much longer as the third instalment in the franchise lands early next month.

2nd August to be more precise, as confirmed by Disney+ on its official Twitter account.

Volume 3 joins the first two volumes in the franchise, along with a Christmas Special featuring the Kevin Bacon, with all four helmed by James Gunn, who has since switched allegiances to DC and is directing its cinematic universe moving forward.

It proved a success with critics and fans alike, grossing more than $800 million at the cinemas since releasing in May this year.

“Free of all the meta discussion Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is a good movie, bordering on great, that is a fun time and a good use of money for a trip to the theatre, and we’re happy with that,” noted our own Clinton Matos when he reviewed the film earlier this year.

The more recent efforts like Thor Love and Thunder failing to prove as impressive as past outings, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will likely prove a highly streamed property on Disney+, warranting a marathon of all three volumes back-to-back in our books.

What fate will hold for many of the characters post-Vol. 3 remains to be seen, especially as Gunn is not attached to the properties.

Either way, however, it’s arrival on Disney+ is eagerly awaited.
