- Samsung has set the date for its next Galaxy Unpacked event, with a foldables-focused presentation happening on 26th July.
- The event will take place in Seoul, South Korea, and will be available to live stream locally at 13:00 on the day.
- Based on the invite, a new Galaxy Z Flip device will be the hero product.
Back in mid-May reports began circulating that Samsung would host its next Galaxy Unpacked event in July, with the South Korean manufacturer focusing on its Galaxy Z foldables lineup for the showcase.
As it turns out, the reports were true, as now Samsung has officially confirmed that it will host an event on 26th July in Seoul, South Korea.
“A new cultural driver is coming. Come along on our journey to discover an all-new Galaxy as we showcase our latest technologies designed to open possibilities and transform lives. It’s going to make you want to Join the flip side,” the company highlighted in a blog post regarding the announcement.
Judging on the copy and video above, it’s clear that foldables will indeed be the focus for the event, with a new Galaxy Z Flip likely being the hero device come 26th July.
We have already seen leaked images of a device surface online claiming to be the Z Flip5, which boasts a far larger cover display, which is something that foldables from competitors have featured in recent months, such as the OPPO Find N2 Flip.
It remains to be seen what other devices Samsung will have to showcase on the day, but a new iteration of Galaxy Z Fold, as well as a few accessories, are also expected for the event.

Those in South Africa wanting to tune into the event can do so from 13:00 in the afternoon, with the Samsung YouTube channel being the best platform to view the live stream.
