• Huawei Mobile South Africa has listed the Watch GT 4 series for Early Bird pre-order locally.
• No recommended pricing is not available yet, but the smartwatches are bundled with R2 500 worth of extras.
• The Watch GT 4 series is expected to go on sale in SA come 6th October.

Late last week Huawei unveiled two new smartwatches in the form of the Watch GT 4 series.

The new devices may be freshly revealed for selected markets, but Huawei Mobile South Africa are already working to get them into the hands of consumers, with the company listed an Early Bird pre-order special on its local online store for the Watch GT 4 series.

For the offer, it does not look like like money needs to be put down, however, subscribing for the Early Bird special is required.

Those who go for this pre-pre-order will get R2 500 worth of free extras along with the either the 41mm or 46mm smartwatch, when they become available to purchase on 6th October.

The R2 500 of extras include a R1 000 voucher for the online store, a pair of Huawei FreeBuds SE 2 wireless earphones, 5x store points, and an entry for a change to win a Nova 11.

Should the Early Bird not be of interest, another more traditional pre-order will go live on 27th September, although it is unclear what will be bundled at that stage.

As is the recommended pricing for the 46mm or 41mm Watch GT 4, with Huawei Mobile SA yet to reveal RRPs for the wearables. Those details will likely be shared on 27th September.
