Taking up a mobile contract can be an experience fraught with friction given the tomes of paperwork that need to be signed and the bureaucratic hurdles one has to leap over.

Today MTN South Africa announced a new product in SuperFlex, this is a new mobile plan that you can take up right now without having to sign paperwork until you get a repetitive strain injury. What’s more, is that you are not locked into the contract and can cancel at any time. The idea here is that customers should be able to take up and cancel a package as and when their needs dictate that.

All SuperFlex packages include a limited allocation of data as well as unlimited minutes to any network at any time as well as unlimited SMS. As a launch offer MTN South Africa will also throw in six months of Disney+.

SuperFlex packages start at R299 for 10GB as well as the aforementioned unlimited minutes and SMS. The full package offering follows below.

• 10GB data, unlimited minutes, and SMS – R299,
• 15GB data unlimited minutes, and SMS – R399,
• 20 GB data, unlimited minutes, and SMS – R479.

These packages can be taken up exclusively through MTN’s online platforms and can be paid for using a debit or credit card. In addition, the package can be canceled at any time via the MTN App.

There is also the option to add a smartphone to the SuperFlex package but, these smartphones must be paid for upfront. This makes sense given that customers can cancel the contract at any time.
