• The local technology distributor was recently acquired by a group of private individuals and Kleoss Capital.
• Following the acquisition, the distributor says it will work to, “reinforce and enhance key areas of operation.”

There has been a significant change on the SADC channel landscape as Drive Control Corporation (DCC) has confirmed that it will now operate as DCC Technologies.

This is more than just a simple rebranding or name change, as the local technology distributor was recently acquired by a group of private individuals and Kleoss Capital.

“The acquisition will see DCC Technologies undergo exciting enhancements, whilst building on the strong foundation that has seen the company establish itself as a heavyweight in the channel marketplace. The distributor, headquartered in Johannesburg, South Africa has an entrenched footprint throughout the country and SADC with offices in Namibia, Botswana and Mozambique,” highlights a press release sent to Hypertext.

“Our primary focus, in the coming months, is to reinforce and enhance key areas of operation, while continuing to deliver exceptional service to our valuable reseller and retail partners, and their customers,” adds Carlos Ferreira, CEO of DCC Technologies. 

With DCC having operated within the SADC ICT channel for 35 years, it will be interesting to see what this new chapter for the distributor holds. As such, the coming weeks and months will likely be frenzied with activity at the distributor.
