Following a heart-pounding and stress-inducing quarter-final last weekend, South Africans are likely eager to see the Springboks take on England on Saturday evening at 21:00.
However, there is the matter of Argentina versus New Zealand that needs to be played out first and that game kicks off at 21:00 this evening. While SuperSport will be broadcasting both matches, those without DStv will need to turn to the SABC for the games but sadly, it will only be running one of the semi-finals, namely South Africa versus England.

There is another way to stream both matches for free but we only really recommend that folks from the UK who happen to be visiting South Africa use this advice. We urge South Africans to click away now as SuperSport won’t be pleased if locals use this to watch the matches.
As UK residents may be aware, ITV has been broadcasting the entirety of the Rugby World Cup. The broadcaster also has a streaming service, ITVX, where viewers can watch live TV including the Rugby World Cup. This service is free so long as you have a UK postcode and you’re accessing the service from the UK.
For tourists in South Africa however, this could be a problem unless they have a VPN. A VPN gives you the ability to appear as if you are in a different location given that you are accessing a platform or website from a node in the country you select.
While there are free VPNs available we recommend you consider purchasing a VPN subscription. Free solutions are often limited in how long you can use them and can fail the detection methods some platforms use to block access via a VPN. Kaspersky’s VPN solution – which is bundled with Kaspersky Premium – works well for streaming and it’s rather affordable compared to other solutions on the market.
Remember, both semi-finals have a late start of 21:00 so pace yourself, warn the neighbours you’re watching rugby and let’s hope Rassie and the boys can secure our spot in the final next weekend.
