Netflix is currently hosting its Geeked Week 2023, with a focus on animated series, new live-action projects, and mobile gaming.
As has been the case with past iterations of this event, Geeked Week is not disappointing when it comes to announcements and dropping new trailers for upcoming IP. Netflix revealed a trailer for its live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender series, which is slated to arrive on the streaming platform on 22nd February next year.
A number of fan favourites have also received updates, with Arcane Season 2 set to land on Netflix in November of 2024. It is a long wait, but given the quality and success of Season 1, which is well worth a watch even if you’re not a League of Legends fan, we’re expecting another hit on Netflix’s recent animated front.
Back to live-action and The Umbrella Academy is returning for Season 4, which will sadly be its last season too. The cast of the show shared some of what fans can expect for this final season, although actual footage of the series is yet to be shown. What is known is that it will debut on Netflix sometime in 2024, but a more precise date has not been mentioned as yet.
Other returning shows include Blood of Zeus Season 2, which too is arriving during the broad window of 2024. Added to this is the second season of the Korean live-action horror fantasy series Sweet Home, but it lands far sooner, set for 1st December on Netflix.
Finally, it is worth detailing all the mobile games that are heading to Netflix, many of which are inspired by shows on the platform. These include Shadow and Bone: Enter the Fold, Money Heist Game, and Chicken Run.
