Whenever a new movie based on a videogame gets announced, you can also hear the gaming community hold its breath. Bar a few exceptions, movies based on videogames tend to be awful.

For the third episode of Geeks Love Lists we decided to flip that around and take a look at games that are based on movies and there are a number of stellar titles that match that description.

Among the titles we chat about are Disney’s Hercules, GoldenEye 007, The Warriors and Peter Jackson’s King Kong: The Official Game of the Movie. Yes that last one is the full name of the game.

In addition we also spend some time chatting about movies we’d love to see turned into modern videogames including The Equalizer series, Neon Genesis Evangelion (yes we know it’s not a movie) and Kill Bill among others.
