- The PlayStation Plus game catalogue is growing from next week, with as many as 19 titles being added for Premium and Extra members.
- The most noteworthy title is GTA V and GTA Online, which feature updated visuals for the PS5 version of the game.
- These new titles will be accessible from 19th December, PlayStation has confirmed.
With the festive break soon upon us, it’s time to decide how best to spend the time off. In the case of PlayStation, it is hoping players will be making the most of their Plus memberships, with Premium and Extra subscribers gain access to as many as 19 titles for free from next week, including GTA V and GTA Online.
The arrival of GTA V, along with the other titles as part of the December lineup, will be accessible from 19th December, PlayStation confirmed in a blog post.
“December’s lineup is playable from Tuesday, December 19, headlined by Grand Theft Auto V, letting even more players travel to Los Santos to experience the exhilarating single player story campaign, then craft their own career on the city streets and beyond in the vast multiplayer world of GTA Online,” it pointed out.
“GTAV’s arrival into the PlayStation Plus Game Catalog nicely lines up with the game’s newly launched update, GTA Online: The Chop Shop, which introduces a new Salvage Yard business, Drift Races, and more,” it added.
The addition of GTA V is rather timely given a trailer dropped for its successor last week, which only arrives some time in 2025. It should therefore give PS5 players in particular a taste of what’s to come, with that version of GTA V featured updated visual elements compared to the PS4 iteration. There are also rumours that Grand Theft Auto VI may be launched alongside a beefier PS5 Pro in 2025.
