Next week Ubisoft will be readying for the official launch of Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown across multiple platforms on 18th January 2024.

With some international publications have already published reviews for the upcoming side-scrolling platformer, there may be some fans of the franchise who are still on the fence. Before taking the plunge and actually buying the game, however, you can play a free demo which publisher Ubisoft recently announced.

If you head over the official Ubisoft Store landing page for the game, you are able to select the free PC demo from the pre-order window.

Should you want it on a different platform, Ubisoft confirms that it is available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One from each console maker’s respective digital marketplaces.

“The free demo will allow players to try out the upcoming action-adventure platformer game set in a mythological Persian world, created by Ubisoft Montpellier,” the publisher noted in a release shared with Hypertext.

“This custom demo gives a first glimpse at the epic journey that awaits them in Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, before diving deeper into Mount Qaf on 18th January. This demo includes carefully selected sections from the game, with early unlocks of time powers and amulets, to show the main gameplay features while not spoiling the story,” it added.

It is also worth pointing out that some content in the demo may vary from the final game.
