• Netflix has revealed a host of upcoming series, games and movies for 2024, including their release dates.
• The company is publishing a videogame based on the popular series Squid Game and one based on Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon.
• Documentary series LaLiga 24 is coming to Netflix later in 2024 amid the streaming giant’s renewed interest in sports.

As the streaming wars are heating up and everyone – from Amazon Prime to Showmax – wants a piece of the golden subscriber pie, it’s up to the streaming platforms themselves to sway viewers to their websites and apps. The worldwide leader in the space is still Netflix by sheer subscriber count alone, and even though recent moves by the company have been anti-consumer, the platform is still growing in terms of viewers and content.

Netflix has shared with Hypertext its extended lineup for new movies, series and games that are coming out in 2024. Some of the content has already been announced, with Netflix now sharing release dates for certain choice items, while others are fresh.

For example, we have below the release date for Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F, as well as for many other upcoming films, series and new details about videogames on Netflix.

New games coming out on Netflix in 2024:

Yes, Netflix is now an actual mover in gaming. The release of the Grand Theft Auto Remastered collection on its platform was a huge success, and in 2024 the company is looking to expand its catalogue even further.

Two brand new IPs are being announced. These are a videogame based on Zack Snyder’s sci-fi series Rebel Moon, developed by Super Mega Evil Corp. The game will reportedly take place after the events of Rebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiver. It will be a four-player co-op action game. “Choose your rebel and join the fight,” the company says.

The second videogame is based on Squid Game. It will be a multiplayer game “in which you can compete with other players in games from the hit series.” Nothing else was revealed about the Squid Game title.

A bevy of watchable content is up for Netflix viewers this year, but our interest was piqued with the reveal that the streamer will air a documentary based on LaLiga, Spain’s premier football league. Anything sport on Netflix is a big deal especially after news emerged that the WWE would be coming to the platform in 2025.

Other interesting series include the second season of Squid Game, the final season of the Umbrella Academy, the 6th season of Cobra Kai, and the third season of Sweet Tooth.
