• Uber has released its latest list for lost items on Uber rides.
• The now annual release features lists for the most lost items, which US states lose the most, and what the most peculiar items are.
• Perhaps unsurprisingly, Miami was listed as the most “forgetful” city.

If you have used Uber for long enough, you more than likely have lost something on the ridesharing platform.

It is with this in mind that a few years ago Uber released its Lost & Found Index, which offers a, “snapshot of the most surprising and most popular items left behind in Ubers.”

While this Index is very much focused on the United States, it still makes for interesting reading when it comes to the lost items on Uber rides.

Some of the data from the 2024 edition of the Index shows that clothing, luggage, headphones, wallets, jewellery, and phones are among the most commonly lost items on Uber rides, which makes sense.

The Index also has lists for the most forgetful cities, and Miami in Floria won the top spot in that category. Other notable lists include forgotten food items, along with a few more niche trends, such as the most lost car keys being Mini, along with healing crystals being an oft forgotten item, as well as a high number of mobile WiFi routers being misplaced in Uber rides too.

The list that most interests us, however, are the “unique” items as Uber terms them. While it is unclear what metric is used to gauge the uniqueness, there are certainly some interesting things that have been left behind in Uber rides.

The top 50 include a jar of oysters, a live pet turtle, a fake butt, a paternity test, a “wizard woman” whatever that is, and more.

The full list of most unique items lost on Uber rides for 2024 is as follows:
