Three new coins added to Luno

  • Luno has announced that it has added the option to trade Tron, Synthetix and The Graph.
  • This brings the total number of coins available on the Luno platform to 23.
  • The platform takes great care in deciding which coins to add to its platform.

Cryptocurrency platform Luno, which was established locally and has now grown to become a global juggernaut, has announced the addition of three new coins to its stable.

These are Tron, Synthetix, and The Graph.

Both Tron and The Graph can be used to build decentralised applications while Synthetix uses digital versions of real-world assets for trading on its network.

“We constantly survey Luno customers about the investment options they’d like to see on Luno,” explains country manager for Luno in South Africa, Christo de Wit. “We are therefore expanding our vetted selection of cryptocurrencies. To ensure a better quality exchange for our customers, we conduct a rigorous process before adding new coins. These processes allow us to provide our customers with the safe and secure crypto experience they request.”

With the addition of these three coins, Luno users can now invest in 23 different coins. You can read more about these coins on Luno’s website here.

The trading platform says that it undertakes a thorough vetting process before adding a cryptocurrency to its offering. This is assessment is based on stringent legal, risk and technical security criteria. Luno doesn’t endorse any one particular asset and it cautions customers to do their research and exercise good judgement before parting ways with their money.

“The new coins give our customers more investment options to explore and diversify their portfolios. The Luno investment app is designed so that our 12 million customers worldwide have easy access to all the information they need to make educated decisions,” adds de Wit.

The cryptocurrency market is a bit tumultuous at the moment. Bitcoin, crypto’s golden child is up and down while Ethereum is rather flat. Newer coins aren’t doing too well and appear to be trending downward.

Remember that investing in cryptocurrency is a risk and you should never invest more than you can afford to lose.
