- Uber South Africa has announced promotional offers this Election Day.
- For 29th May only, it is offering up to 35 percent off of two rides for users.
- It is also worth noting that the discounts are for up to R40 per ride.
On Wednesday morning, South Africans across the country will be heading to their registered voting stations to cast their vote. To assist with travel costs this Election Day Uber South Africa has announced that it will be offering promotional discounts for riders.
“We’re committed to helping to ensure that transport isn’t a barrier to making your mark,” it noted in an official communication shared with Hypertext.
Here Uber SA says riders can save 35 percent on two trips rides to and from voting stations on 29th May 2024. As always, T&Cs apply, but the most important aspects to note is that the discount applies for trips up to R40, and that the promotion is limited to a selected number of riders.
More specifically it applies to the first 50 000 people who apply the promo code VOTESA24.
To make use of the promotion, use the following steps:
- “Open your Uber app
- Click on ‘Account’ and then select ‘Wallet’
- Scroll down to ‘Promotions’
- Tap ‘Add promo code’
- Enter the code VOTESA24 and tap ‘Add’
- Request a ride as usual.”
