Registrations open for AWS Summit Johannesburg 2024

  • Amazon Web Services has this week sent out notifications that registrations are now open for AWS Summit Johannesburg 2024.
  • The event is taking place again at the Sandton Convention Centre on 29th August.
  • The fun-day event is set to feature cloud-related demos, labs, workshops, and other sessions.

Johannesburg is once again set to host the annual Summit for Amazon Web Services (AWS) in the region. Attendees of last year’s edition, which is also the first time that the city has hosted the event have received notifications that registrations are now open.

With the AWS Summit having previously been a fixture in Cape Town in previous years, following the pandemic, Johannesburg has been the new venue, with last year being the inaugural iteration.

The Summit is set to be a full day event, starting at 8:00 until 17:00 on 29th August, a landing page for registrations explains.

At the time of writing, no official itinerary has been outlined, nor who will be set to speak at the event.

With the hyperscaler having increased its presence across the African continent, not to mention the ecommerce division of its parent company having landed in South Africa too, this year’s AWS Summit Johannesburg could prove more significant than in recent years.

“Unlock the power of the AWS Cloud at AWS Summit Johannesburg 2024! Join us for a dynamic and engaging event that will inspire and transform the way you innovate. Experience first-hand how AWS can help you scale, boost efficiency, and drive digital transformation,” the registration page for the event highlights.

“Explore the latest AWS services and technologies, including groundbreaking advancements in Data, Analytics, Generative AI, Machine Learning, and so much more. Hear from industry-leading experts, network with peers, and discover hands-on solutions. With 50+ sessions, live demos, labs, and workshops, don’t miss your chance to be part of the cloud computing community that’s shaping the future,” it adds.

More information on how to register for the event can be found here.
