Liquid expands its cloud offerings in Egypt

  • Liquid C2 is rolling out its Cloudmania business offering to companies in Egypt.
  • Cloudmania is the company’s distribution business for cloud and cybersecurity solutions.
  • Included in the offering is a suite a solutions customised to suit each customer and simplify their operations.

The cloud computing arm of Liquid Intelligent Technologies, Liquid C2 is set to expand its offerings in the north of Africa, specifically Egypt as it prepares to launch its Cloudmania businesses in the country. The nation has long been of strategic importance for Liquid, who in 2018 invested over $400 million in Egyptian infrastructure.

Cloudmania is Liquid CS’s distribution business unit for cloud and cybersecurity solutions, available in 35 countries across the Middle East and Africa.

“Extending Cloudmania’s reach to Egypt reflects our confidence in the Egyptian economy following the launch of Liquid C2 in Egypt a year ago. We see Egypt as the anchor country of our expansion into the Middle East and North Africa and we look forward to play our role in realizing the government’s Egypt Vision 2030 strategy,” explained Sherif Shaltout, Vice President, operations at Liquid C2 in a press statement sent to Hypertext.

“Partnering with local businesses will help in developing digital infrastructure, promoting digital skills development, creating opportunities for entrepreneurship and economic growth, all while tapping into Egypt’s wealth of local tech talent,” Shaltout added.

In June, Liquid C2 announced that it struck a partnership with Google to roll out Google Cloud Interconnect to its customers. This allows the external networks of an organisation to connect directly to the Google Cloud network, greatly reducing latency and increasing availability.

Meanwhile, the Cloudmania business is supported by a partnership with Microsoft. It offers a suite of solutions tailored to suit the needs of the customer, aiming to help channel partners better manage their business by creating a single-pane view via an always-on platform that assists with billing and subscription management services.

“Cloudmania’s growth over the last year from 100 partners to over 750 demonstrates how our value proposition resonates with channel partners across these regions. Being named the Microsoft Partner of the Year in Ethiopia and Côte d’Ivoire in 2022 and 2023 respectively, reflects our commitment to delivering solutions that propel cloud adoption and partner growth, accelerating digital transformation for businesses in Africa,” added Vinay Hiralall, Chief Commercial Officer at Liquid C2.
