Tell us which game defined your childhood and win

The start of July means the second half of 2024 is well and truly upon us. It also happens to be the same month that Hypertext is running its Gaming Hub, where all our gaming content can be found in one convenient location.

Along with launching the Hub, we are running a competition to find out what game defined the childhood of our readers. It may be the first game you played, the first you completed, or the one that you could not, but often those experiences in childhood inform what games we enjoy today.

We also want to find out what platforms players enjoy the most, what the best game they have played in 2024 to date is, as well as what old game they’d like to see remastered for the modern era.

Once the competition closes at midnight on 26th July 2024, we’ll be selecting a handful of the best answers and discussing them in this month’s episode of the Geeks Love Lists podcast. We also be selecting one winner at random to receive a R1 000 voucher from Takealot, perhaps to buy that upcoming release they’re looking forward to.

As with all our competitions, all entries are anonymous, and we will only ever use the information disclosed in order to contact the winner, or add those who have opted into our newsletters.

If you want to win a R1 000 Takealot voucher, scroll down to the Google Form below and share your nostalgia. As always, T’s & C’s apply.
