This evening, at 19:15 specifically, the Opening Night Live event for Gamescom 2024 kicks off, as the Cologne, Germany-based gaming event continues to be a fixture on the entertainment calendar.
Like Summer Game Fest, Geoff Keighley will be hosting Opening Night Live, with the promise of six titles being showcased tonight.
With that in mind, here are some details for the Gamescom 2024 kick-off event, as well as what has been confirmed for the agenda.
More than 60 exhibitors from across the globe will be descending on the German city, organisers noted, and as we have covered in recent weeks, the likes of Capcom will have several in-person activities for those attending, including the ability to play some soon-to-be-released titles like Monster Hunter Wilds.
As for what we will be getting deep dives on this evening, Keighley confirmed the following six titles that will be a part of the showcase:
- Call of Duty: Black Ops 6,
- Monster Hunter Wilds,
- MARVEL Rivals,
- Dune Awakening ,
- Indiana Jones and the Great Circle,
- Sid Meier’s Civilization VII.

Per Engadget, Black Ops 6 will include a playthrough of the game’s first story campaign mission; a new trailer will drop for Monster Hunter Wilds; new characters will be revealed for MARVEL Rivals; more gameplay is slated for Dune Awakening; we’ll receive a “new look” at Indiana Jones; and Civilization VII will involve a world premiere.
