- LG Electronics South Africa has launched its first official online store.
- The company teased its launch last week, with SA being the third market where such a platform has been launched by LG in Middle East and Africa (MEA).
- From 27th August to 30th September 30, if you make an online purchase of R7 000 or more, you will get a free LG XBOOM XG2T speaker.
Last week, LG Electronics send out a heads up regarding the upcoming launch of its official South Africa online store. At the time, the online store was slated to be accessible at the end of August, but the site is live right now.
The launch for SA marks the third market that LG has gone forward with a dedicated ecommerce platform in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region, highlighting now only how important South Africa is for the brand, but also how well it is performing locally.
“Our online store brings LG’s innovative gadgets straight to your fingertips, showcasing our unwavering commitment to putting customers first in ways never before seen in the local market,” noted LG SA in a press release shared with Hypertext.
“We did not just open an online store; we are unlocking a portal to the future of retail in South Africa. This platform represents a fusion of LG’s pioneering technology with the vibrant spirit of South African consumers. It’s more than a shopping destination—it’s a digital playground where innovation meets aspiration, where every click brings you closer to experiencing the extraordinary,” enthused Jinkook Kang, Subsidiary president at LG Electronics South Africa.
To entice local consumers, LG has announced a launch special where any online purchases made between 27th August to 30th September in excess of R7 000 or more, will earn shoppers a free LG XBOOM XG2T speaker (valued at R1 199).
This deal is limited to the new LG online store only, and serves as some motivation for consumers to explore the platform.
“The new e-commerce hub is a treasure trove of LG’s most sought-after products, from breathtaking OLED and QNED televisions that redefine visual experiences to futuristic home appliances that transform everyday tasks into moments of joy. Tech enthusiasts can explore an array of state-of-the-art monitors, while eco-conscious shoppers will delight in the energy-efficient air conditioning units,” the company added.
Along with the aforementioned launch special, the online store also offers LG’s Premium Service on selected items. The Premium Service includes complimentary delivery, expert installation, and dedicated ongoing support to ensure, “that every LG product becomes an integral part of your lifestyle with ease.”
