- Routed has appointed Lee Syse as its Director of Product and Go-to-market.
- Syse will assist Routed in driving growth across its channel and product development divisions.
- The new director worked with VMware for eight years serving as its Lead Cloud Solutions Architect since 2022.
Routed, a local vendor neutral VMware cloud provider and VMware by Broadcom Premier CSP Partner has made an important appointment.
That is for the position of Director of Product and Go-to-market (GTM) which has been filled by Lee Syse (pictured), recognised as one of the most experienced VMware product experts on the African continent.
“Lee is joining at a director level to drive the daily business and the overall GTM strategy. Routed has spent eight years building a service-to-partners business and the addition of Lee will enable us to amplify our visibility from a sales and marketing perspective, while also being able to offer enhanced partner support,” says Andrew Cruise, founder and chief executive officer at Routed.
The forthcoming director has been at VMware for eight years. Since 2022, he has held the title of Lead Cloud Solutions Architect. As such, Syse has a deep understanding of cloud solutions within an enterprise environment. This is a major appointment for Routed which anticipates that Syse will help them drive growth in both its channel division and in product development.
“This role allowed me to engage with CSPs in various capacitiesincluding technical architecture and engineering, productisation, sales, and GTM strategies,” Syse says of his time at VMware. “This comprehensive experience has been invaluable and provides a robust foundation for my role at Routed, where I am excited to contribute to the organisation’s continued rapid growth.”
VMware was recently acquired by Broadcom and this means Syse will need to help assure Routed’s customers that its solutions are still central to their business. This will also extend into assessing emerging technology trends likely in a bid to tailor this tech toward client needs. We suspect AI is a big part of that conversation only because it is the current hot thing in technology and it has shown to have some benefits to business.
We wish Syse well in his new appointment and we recommend keeping an eye on Routed. It’s an ambitious company that looks to be making some big moves.
