Local technology distributor Tarsus On Demand (TOD) has added another brand to its ranks in AWS. Together with the Amazon cloud division, TOD will provide enhanced cloud services and support for Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) and Managed Service Providers (MSPs) across sub-Saharan Africa.
This partnership will help TOD customers get access to multi-cloud strategies, advanced technical support and the tools needed to drive business growth and innovation.
“Becoming an AWS distribution partner marks a significant milestone in our commitment to providing comprehensive cloud solutions. This collaboration allows us to support our partners’ multi-cloud strategies and continue to drive innovation in the cloud space,” AWS program manager at TOD, Chantelle Trollip said in a statement.
TOD says it will also be introducing initiatives as part of this partnership. This includes the AWS Skills Builder Program which will offer training that covers artificial intelligence, machine learning, and cloud migration.
“Dedicated technical support teams will offer assistance with complex cloud solutions, ensuring seamless implementation and operation. Additionally, the Accelerated Development Program is designed to fast-track the development of partners’ AWS capabilities, reducing the time to market for new solutions,” adds Tarsus On Demand.
Earlier this month AWS South Africa announced that it would be investing as much as R30.4 billion into South Africa by 2029. The company has already spent R15.6 billion as it places roots in Cape Town.
“We are always looking to invest in countries that have data centres, vice president of compute and networking services at AWS, David Brown said. “We have 33 regions globally. Every one of those regions is designed to the highest standard, it is something that AWS has not compromised on.”
