One of SA’s most popular banks, Capitec, has tapped Cisco for a big-time digital infrastructure upgrade set to benefit the bank’s over 23 million clients.
“Moving forward, Capitec said customers can expect faster service thanks to improved network reliability, which should lead to shorter wait times and a better overall banking experience. Added to this will be simplified sending and receiving funds via money transfer,” writes Robin-Leigh Chetty about the new partnership.
Teraco has been really busy lately, breaking ground on a 120MW solar PV plant this week, and now an incoming expansion of its Isando Campus in Johannesburg, its ninth data centre project to date.
“Massive global investments into undersea cables, like Equiano and 2Africa, further strengthen this position. This will enable global cloud providers to service not only the South African market but also the rest of the sub-Saharan African region,” said chief executive officer at Teraco, Jan Hnizdo.
