- Valve has revealed a new limited edition OLED Steam Deck but this time, it has a white colourway.
- It has the same specs as the 1TB version of the OLED Steam Deck, but comes with a white carry case and cleaning cloth.
- It is being sold worldwide for $679, but may be more expensive if it gets imported outside of its license in South Africa by retailers such as Incredible.
A brand-new limited edition Steam Deck has been revealed by Valve, and this time the handheld PC is coming in white and grey instead of the regular black and the new machines have all the same specs as the 1TB OLED version.
The new Limited Edition Steam Deck is launching worldwide on 18th November 2024 in all territories that Valve exports the devices to, which unfortunately doesn’t officially include South Africa. However, it is possible that locals will be able to get their hands on a white Steam Deck through Incredible, which has stocked the devices in the past.
It comes with a white carrying case and a white microfibre cleaning cloth.

According to Valve, the white Steam Deck will be sold for $679 USD, or around R12 278, which is more affordable than the ROG Ally in South Africa. However, this price may be inflated due to importing difficulties, again noting that the Steam Deck is not officially sold locally.
For example, the 512GB version of the Steam Deck at Incredible is being sold for R16 499, with the local retailer calling it a “parallel import.”
“While we generally do not sell parallel imported products, sometimes it’s the only way to get in-demand items in our customers’ hands,” explains Incredible.
“While this product has been imported without the approval or license of the registered owner of the trade mark, you can rest assured that this product is fully supported by us and our local supplier, and it is fully backed by our famous after-sales service and warranty support.”
Due to it being a limited edition, Valve has imposed some regulations.
“This model will only be available in limited quantities, with stock allocated proportionally across each region. This means separate availability for US, CA, UK, EU, AU, and the Komodo regions,” says the company.
“To ensure that as many customers who wish to purchase a Steam Deck OLED: Limited Edition White can get their hands on one, we are restricting purchases to 1 unit per account. Accounts must have made a Steam purchase before November 2024 and be in good standing to be eligible.”
“As this is a limited edition release, we will not be making more of this particular design. Once we are sold out, we will be sold out.”
