- Peach Payments has announced that it now accepts RCS cards as a payment method.
- It forms part of a recent partnership between both companies.
- This means platforms that support Peach Payments will also support the RCS Store Card, Game mystore card, Makro Credit, Builders Store Credit, Edgars Account, and more.
Just because Black November is behind us does not stop more options to transact online from being added to the mix. Here Peach Payments has an announcement that will be of interest to anyone who has an RCS card, or holds one of the cards it creates for other retailers.
This as it now supports RCS cards as a payment method as part of a recent partnership.
For those unfamiliar with RCS, the online payment facilitator‘s cards can be used for purchases in the its network, which consists of over 30 000 stores. It also develops and manages financial services solutions for some of South Africa’s largest retailers including Game, Makro, Builders, Pick n Pay, Edgars, CTM, and more.
On top of this, it provides credit in the form of its own branded store card too.
“For Peach Payments merchants, integrating RCS as a payment method offers a significant opportunity to drive online sales. Unlike many merchant-specific store cards that prohibit online transactions, RCS allows customers to make seamless online purchases with their card, enhancing the overall shopping experience,” said Anine de Kock (pictured above), head of Partnerships at Peach Payments.
“This capability not only expands the market reach for merchants but also offers the opportunity to increase sales and generate customer loyalty. By offering RCS as a payment method, merchants can provide new, potential customers with the flexibility to shop anytime, anywhere, thereby unlocking greater online revenue potential,” she added in a release sent to Hypertext.
Moving forward, the aforementioned RCS Store Card will now be supported by Peach Payments, along with the Game mystore card, Makro Credit, Builders Store Credit, Edgars Account, Jet Account, CTM Store Card, and others.
Peach Payments says merchants who want to add RCS cards to their online payment options can do so via their existing platform dashboard, or by contacting the company’s support team on +27 21 200 5877.
“RCS joins a number of payment types available on Peach Payments’ platform, including pay by bank, cards, QR codes, vouchers, buy-now-pay-later solutions, and digital wallets,” the company concluded.
