Folks looking to grab a Steam Deck in South Africa are in luck (?) Well, it’s a mixed bag of sorts, as OneDayOnly is offering a Steam Deck handheld console for R10 299 – the lowest price we’ve ever seen for the machine.
However, it is a parallel import, meaning it doesn’t get any official support from Valve locally. So if it breaks or if you have any issues with it, there’s not much that you can do.
Leaks reveal the new graphics cards planned by Intel, the so-called Battlemage GPU.
There are two new cards reportedly coming under the Battlemage brand. The Intel Arc B580 is the card with the most information of the two as per the leaks. It will likely feature 20 Xe2 Cores, and run a clock of 2.8GHz. The GPU will house 12GB GDDR6 with a speed of 19Gbps and bandwidth of 456GB/s.
“In terms of performance then, on paper, the B580 looks to sit somewhere between an NVIDIA RTX 3060 and RTX 4060 although we suspect Intel’s GPU will be a bit more affordable than NVIDIA’s cards are. That having been said, we suspect that these cards will still be rather pricey here in South Africa,” writes Brendyn Lotz on the upcoming devices.
