Kingdom Come: Deliverance II conquers the Steam sales charts

  • Kingdom Come: Deliverance II made the most money in the last week.
  • It beats big names like Counter-Strike 2 and Marvel Rivals.
  • New title Sid Meier’s Civilization VII also makes it onto the list.

Medieval RPG Kingdom Come: Deliverance II has managed to storm onto Steam to great success as the game claims the number one spot on the official top seller chart for the past week.

Valve provides a weekly top seller list for the period of 4th to 11th February 2025, ordered by revenue generated in that period. As free to play (F2P) games can also generate revenue through other means, this list includes both F2P and regular paid titles.

Kingdom Come: Deliverance II falls into the latter category, managing to beat out notable F2P games like Counter-Strike 2 and Marvel Rivals. This is also the first week that the game has been out, as it launched on 4th February. With its first week at the top of the chart we will need to check back in on subsequent weeks to see if the game retains this momentum.

The full top seller list can be found here but the top 10 is below:

  1. Kingdom Come: Deliverance II,
  2. Counter-Strike 2,
  3. Sid Meier’s Civilization VII,
  4. Monster Hunter Wilds,
  5. Steam Deck,
  6. PUBG: Battlegrounds,
  7. Marvel Rivals,
  8. Helldivers 2,
  9. Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel,
  10. Destiny 2.

Another new title in the top ten is Sid Meier’s Civilization VII which just launched yesterday, 11th February. It’s interesting to see the Steam review differences between these two titles with Kingdom Come: Deliverance II garnering 24 055 reviews with a Very Positive (90 percent positive) rating while Sid Meier’s Civilization VII has 14 075 reviews with a Mixed (51 percent positive) rating.

Developer Firaxis Games has its work cut out for it to address the problems brought up by the negative reviews, especially if it wants to keep the game selling so well.

The last surprise in the top ten is another F2P title in the form of Yu-Gi-Oh! Master Duel. The game is not a common sight in these charts but it seems the third anniversary of the game – and some returning items for players – have managed to boost its numbers.

Also worth noting for promotions is Helldivers 2 which is currently discounted by 20 percent on Steam. This discount, combined with a new Warbond, likely pushed the game back into the top 10 as it has not been a common sight there lately.

While the game had a momentous launch last year, various issues like the Sony account debacle and community backlash over balance changes have eroded the popularity of this game. There’s also the simple fact that the gaming community usually gravitates towards new games and Helldivers 2 may not be the live service title that most people want to sink their time and money into.
