SPEEDRUN – SASSA Black card replacement deadline extended

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has extended the deadline for the changeover from the Gold postbank cards to the new Black ones. The deadline was originally set for 28th February but following concerns highlighted by beneficiaries, the deadline has now been pushed to 20th March.

Broadcom and the Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) are reportedly eyeing an acquisition of Intel. Broadcom is looking at acquiring Intel’s chipset design and marketing divisions, while TSMC is believed to be in for Intel’s silicon manufacturing network as part of a larger consortium bid. Things aren’t looking good for Intel and now it appears as if the wolves are at the door.

OpenAI has squarely rejected an offer made by an Elon Musk led consortium to buy the AI firm for $97.4 billion. The board of the company rejected the offer late on Friday following a new clause in which Musk and co. said that the offer would be dropped if OpenAI remained a non-profit. “As a result of that filing, it is now apparent that your clients’ much publicized ‘bid’ is in fact not a bid at all,” the board told Musk’s legal team.
