PlayStation has revealed the free for subscriber PS Plus games for March 2025, and the headlining title next month is a little bit of a shock. Available at no extra cost for subscribers, Dragon Age: The Veilguard will become available on 4th March 2025 to download.
The latest entry in the once-vaunted Dragon Age series, The Veilguard has been out for just five months marking an early inclusion as a PS Plus title, usually reserved for games that have been around for much longer.
Its inclusion is especially strange for supposedly AAA game with such a deep history and legacy.
While it received a positive critical reception, the action RPG reportedly missed its sales target by “nearly 50 percent,” selling 1.5 million copies as of January meaning it actually sold worse than Bioware’s previous largest flop, the disastrous Anthem.
The game was extremely controversial, and unfortunately was not able to draw many fans from the previous installments in the series. After nearly a decade of troubled development, the sales of Dragon Age: The Veilguard means that BioWare has very few mistakes left before studio closure starts being discussed.
On PS Plus, the Dragon Age is joined by two other titles, including Sonic Colors: Ultimate and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection.
Sonic Colors: Ultimate is the latest 3D platformer from SEGA, and sees the Blue Blur return in a new adventure through a variety of colourful levels, including space stations and even underwater.
“The evil Dr. Eggman has built an interstellar amusement park – but he’s powering it with a captured alien race called ‘Wisps.’ Use Sonic’s speed to free the Wisps and gain their amazing powers as you explore six unique worlds, filled with hurdles to overcome. Now with stunning upscaled visuals, additional features, a new game mode and enhanced gameplay – it’s the Ultimate Sonic Colors experience,” PlayStation says of the next PS Plus title for March 2025.
The final game coming to PS Plus subscribers in March is a super throwback sure to excite some oldheads on PlayStation.
Play as the Heroes in a Half Shell across a host of classic beat-em-up sidescrollers, the likes that drove kids in arcades in the 80s and 90s absolutely nuts.
“13 classic Konami TMNT games are assembled in one incredible package! Experience 13 immensely popular and influential TMNT games in a totally radical collection from Konami. These retro nostalgia trips come with a range of new quality-of-life features, including online play for certain games and local couch play, the ability to save anytime and rewind, button mapping, unique development art & sketches, historic TMNT media content and more,” the company explains.
This is a really cool entry in the PS Plus catalogue, which is front-loaded with Dragon Age: The Veilguard next month, making an interesting month for subscribers.
Remember, subscribers have until 3rd March to download to February games, including Payday 3, High on Life and Pac-Man World Re-Pac to their libraries before they become unavailable.
