Andrew Tate humbled by South African women

Earlier this week, alleged human trafficker and podcaster Andrew Tate tweeted out very simply that one should never trust women from South Africa. Immediately, South Africans on the internet leapt upon the tweet as only South Africans do when someone from the outside comes for us.

Despite not knowing the context, the tweet was enough to get locals whipped up into a bit of a frenzy. We can’t even share some of the more NSFW things larger local accounts were replying to Tate’s tweet but you can check them out in the replies above.

Otherwise, the ladies were out to have a bit of a laugh at the Manosphere’s expense. Apparently, if social media users are to be believed, the tweet emerged after “A South African lady working at a car rental counter in Florida didn’t have the car he booked, and tried to pass off a Chrysler 300 as luxury,” one user said.

“Alert!!!!! King of Alpha Males has been humbled by Mbali from Soweto,” one user on the subreddit /r South Africa posted.

And I – Oop…!

You may be surprised that this is not the first time that Tate and his Alpha Male brethren have talked down about South African ladies. Some popular podcasters in the space, including the Tates, have called women from South Africa too headstrong, intelligent and opinionated to be true wife material for such high value men.

We think Tate has bigger problems to wrap his vestigial brain around, including a criminal investigation he and his brother are facing in the US state of Florida over the human trafficking allegations that have haunted the duo since their stay in Romania.

But considering who is currently in the control of the US government, we doubt much will be done to the self-proclaimed misogynist.

“The Tates will be free, Trump is the president. The good old days are back. And they will be better than ever. Hold on,” Tate previously posted on X.

The pair are also being investigated in the UK, where they have citizenship, over unrelated allegations of rape and human trafficking. Here’s hoping they stay from away from South Africa, perhaps for their own safety.

Happy early women’s month South Africa!
