Core Group the new distributor for Microsoft Surface in SA

Local distributor Core Group has announced a new partnership with Microsoft to bring the company’s Surface-banded lineup of devices to South African resellers.

The distributor, which also counts the likes of Apple, Nintendo, and DJI in its stable of brands, will now serve as the vehicle through which Microsoft Surface hardware gets to South African resellers.

“Through this collaboration, businesses will be afforded seamless access to the world-class portfolio, providing a perfect blend of hardware and software designed for the modern workplace,” the Core Group noted in a release to Hypertext.

“With Microsoft Surface, South African businesses can now access the best-in-class hardware, built specifically to enhance productivity and performance through device level AI capability and the Microsoft 365 (M365) suite of productivity tools,” it added.

While the precise breadth of product has not been detailed, the Core Group has stated that it will be offering a broad range of Microsoft Surface devices, services, and solutions. It added that it will also be providing resellers access to the Core Group’s expertise in deployment, management, and support.

“Businesses can rest assured that they will receive the highest level of service, with consistent pricing and unparalleled reliability,” it boasted.

“We’re incredibly excited about this partnership, which represents a significant step forward in our mission to provide our customers with the best technology solutions available. We look forward to bringing these innovative products to our market and enabling our commercial customers the ability to achieve new levels of productivity and success,” added Dian de la Port, CEO of Core Group.

The Core Group is asking any resellers interested in Microsoft Surface products to visit its Reseller Program website to sign up for orders. Upon registration, a member of the Core Group sales team will reach out to provide detailed information about launch deals and other offerings, it confirmed.

With Surface products not making the impact that Microisoft may have been hoping in recent years, it will be interesting to see how a change in distributor will impact sales.
