While Eskom’s incompetence knows no bounds, the utility isn’t planning a 14-hour outage in June. Reports surfaced this week that Eskom was planning an extended outage in secret for Gauteng, Western Cape and KwaZulu-Natal. This is not the case with the report suggesting this offering the suggestion with little more than a “trust me bro”. Eskom has denied the news and said the claim is completely untrue. Despite Stage 2 loadshedding being implemented last week, the power system remains stable.
Spotify is giving users in the US the ability to buy audiobooks from inside Spotify. This comes as a direct result of a court order that stopped Apple from demanding payment when purchases were made within an app for a third party. The legal challenge from Epic Games seems to be having a good effect for other firms using Apple’s digital storefront, even if Apple is challenging the court’s decision.
